2016 Lincoln Wine and Food Experience Raises Record Amount Event Takes in Nearly $48,000 for the Lincoln Community Playhouse

LINCOLN, Neb. March 21, 2016― Record attendance led to a fundraising record for the eighth annual Lincoln Wine and Food Experience, presented by Russ’s Market. Nearly 950 people attended this year’s event, held Feb. 26 at Embassy Suites. Ticket sales and proceeds from a silent auction raised almost $48,000, exceeding the previous record by more than $4,000. The Lincoln Wine and Food Experience has now raised close to $300,000 for the Lincoln Community Playhouse during its eight years.

“It’s very gratifying to see how our city has embraced the Lincoln Wine and Food Experience and come out to support the Lincoln Community Playhouse” said Pat Raybould, president of B&R Stores, Inc.

Raybould says they’ll continue to look for ways to enhance the Lincoln Wine and Food Experience in 2017.
