- 2-4 cups of your favorite fresh fruit
- I’ve had the best results with Mango, Strawberry & Raspberry
Pre-heat the oven to 170°
Cut the fruit into small chunks & puree.
Line a baking sheet with wax paper or plastic wrap
(170° won’t melt the plastic wrap).
Spread the fruit onto the lined sheet. It should be fairly thin, almost see through.
Place in the oven for at least 4-5 hours.
If it is not done, put back in for another 2-3 hours or as long as needed.
When it is finished it should not leave any impression when touched.
I recommend plastic wrap, it peels right off when done.
To get the nice look of wax paper strips:
Cook on plastic wrap, fruit from the plastic wrap & place on a sheet of wax paper, on a cutting board,
cut into strips with a pizza cutter & roll
Tie with a string – very cute!
Experiment with different fruits, fresh fruit will always work best.
