RUSS’S WINE AND FOOD EXPERIENCE SET FOR FRIDAY, FEB. 22

Nashville Country Music Artist and Survivor Finalist to Appear

Win a Trip to Napa Valley, California

LINCOLN, Neb. (Feb. 8, 2019) — The 2019 Russ’s Wine and Food Experience will be held at the Embassy Suites on Friday, Feb. 22, 2019 from 5–8 p.m. This is the eleventh year for the event, a favorite of Lincoln-area wine lovers. The Russ’s Wine and Food Experience raised almost $400,000 for the Lincoln Community Playhouse over the last ten years.

Approximately 90 booths will fill the main ballroom, offering a local and international selection of wines. Foodies can sample fine cheeses, gourmet desserts, beef, seafood, and many unique items. Russ’s Market bakers will be making several varieties of fresh baked artisan breads at the event. In addition to the main ballroom, reserve room guests will enjoy an exclusive selection of reserve wines and a buffet prepared by Russ’s Market Catering Department.

The goal for this year’s Russ’s Wine and Food Experience is to raise $30,000 for the Lincoln Community Playhouse. General admission tickets for the main ballroom are $50 in advance, $60 at the door. Advance tickets for the Reserve Room are $70, $80 at the door. Those holding reserve room tickets may enjoy both the main ballroom and reserve room beginning at 4 p.m. There are a limited number of Cellar Room tickets available for sale at $125. Tickets are on sale at Lincoln area Russ’s Market locations and online at www.RussMarket.com.

Nashville singer-songwriter Kelleigh Bannen will perform in the Reserve Room during the event. Guests can also meet and greet Survivor finalist Dr. Alison Raybould in the main ballroom. Alison was a finalist in the TV series Survivor – David vs. Goliath.

Guests may also purchase raffle tickets at the event for a chance to win a 4-day/3 night trip to wine country in Napa, CA. The trip includes a 3-night stay in a 3-star hotel in the Napa Valley region, roundtrip airfare for 2 from Omaha, 4-day car rental, and VIP wine tastings to some of the area vineyards.

“The Russ’s Wine and Food Experience has become a must-attend event for wine lovers. Experts can enjoy more exclusive wines in the reserve room, while less-experienced guests have the opportunity to try different varieties to see what they like,” said Pat Raybould, president of B&R Stores, Inc. “And the best part is helping the Lincoln Community Playhouse provide entertainment and education programs for our community.”
