Gourmet Grilled Cheese with Granny Smith Apples

Ingredients:

  • Stone Hearth Honey Raisin Pecan Bread
  • Kretschmar Muenster Cheese
  • Granny Smith Apples
  • Cinnamon
  • Butter – softened

Instructions:

  1. Core apples and quarter apples – do not peel. Thinly slice apples.20140404_063934_N+40th+St-300×224
  2. Place 1 to 2 slices of muenster cheese on slice of Honey Raisin
  3. Pecan Bread
  4. (cheese can be sliced as thin or thick as you like) making sure cheese reaches the edge.
  5. Lay 2-3 slices of apples over cheese (use as many slices as you want, don’t overlap the apples slices).
  6. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.
  7. Top with 2nd slice of bread.
  8. Butter both sides and place on hot *griddle. Cook until golden or cheese is melted. Apples will still be crisp.

Gourmet Grilled Chicken Salad Sandwich

Ingredients:

  • Stone Hearth Cranberry Walnut Bread
  • Russ’s Market Chicken Salad
  • Butter – softened

Instructions:

  1. Spread chicken salad on slice of Cranberry Walnut
  2. Bread (use as much or as little as you desire).
  3. Top with second slice of bread.
  4. Butter both sides and place on hot griddle.
  5. Cook until both sides are golden, about 2 – 3 minutes on both sides.

Gourmet Grilled Cheese on Stone Hearth Harvest Cheddar Bread

Ingredients:

  • Stone Hearth Harvest Cheddar Bread
  • Kretschmar Pepper Jack Cheese
  • Kretschmar Yellow American
  • Sliced tomatoes (optional)
  • Butter – softened

Instructions:

  1. Layer 1 – 2 slices of each cheese on bread.
  2. Layer 1-2 slices of thinly sliced tomatoes over cheese. (optional)
  3. Top with second slice of bread.
  4. Butter both sides and with butter side down cook on hot *griddle until golden and cheese is melted.

Gourmet Grilled Cheese on Stone Hearth Rustic Sourdough Bread

  1. Layer 1- 2 slices of each cheese on bread.
  2. Replace top half of bread
  3. Butter both sides and with butter side down, cook on hot *griddle until golden on both sides.

Stone Hearth Breads Baking Schedule

I use Kretschmar meats from the Russ’s Market Delicatessen because they contain no MSG, no gluten and no binders or fillers. They slice it fresh as thick or as thin as you like! I like to add fresh avocado the last recipe above now & then. Have you tried one of these?
